For the Love of Mission

Join the Comboni Missionaries for an evening of good food and good conversation. During “For the Love of Mission” you will enjoy a catered Italian dinner and hear guest speaker Samantha Searls.

Samantha works at the Intercommunity Justice & Peace Center – Cincinnati (IJPC). At IJPC, Samantha’s education and advocacy work focuses on breaking down the unjust systems of human trafficking and immigration.

During her presentation, Samantha will clarify what human trafficking actually looks like in the United States. She’ll highlight systemic problems that allow trafficking to flourish and leave participants with tangible actions they can take to end trafficking.

We will also briefly talk about Talitha Kum – an international organization comprised of consecrated religious fighting against human trafficking. Talitha Kum is active in 77 countries. It’s on-the-ground network is involved in raising awareness, preventing human trafficking, and protecting survivors.  Two Comboni Missionary Sisters help lead this organization.

This event is free and open to the public. We will be taking up a freewill offering to support IJPC and Talitha Kum.

RSVP to Jenny Nolan at nolan@combonimissionaries.org or 513-474-4997.
